Not even Sonic 06 is this broken (or as much of a slog) in a normal playthrough where you don't try to break the game. Obviously this is all anecdotal, but holy cow I've never had such a massive pain in the arse just trying to casually play a video game. Here on PCSX2 I constantly experienced Spyro being thrown into GBJ because of random clipping (softlocking the game and forcing a reset), gems not spawning in properly (had totals that exceeded the gem count in both Dragonfly Dojo and the farm, couldn't get all of the gems in Cloud 9). My physical copy of this on GameCube had a glitch when I was a kid where Sparx got permanently stuck in Dragonfly Dojo upon loading into the level for the first time and nothing (that I could figure out) could remedy the situation aside from restarting and hoping it didn't happen again. After the end of the last game, Spyro and his friends Hunter. The problem is its constant attempts at suicide. Spyro the dragon is back yet again with his trusted dragonfly Sparx. If the game didn't try to constantly alt-F4 itself it'd just be an extremely boring 3D platformer with awful frame rates and empty levels. Spyro:EtD may have sold well on the reputation of the previous games, but it also damaged the reputation of the brand by not living up to expectations.
